Study on the influence factors of college students' fear on rumor communication based on information sources
Abstract
With the popularity of social media, individuals can receive various messages anytime and anywhere, including many rumors.The spread of rumors has a certain impact on individuals and society, which has become a major issue that the country attaches great importance to.This study aims to explore the influencing factors of college students' rumor sharing behavior based on different information sources and the fear psychology generated by college students when facing major public health emergencies.It is found that college students have different sharing behaviors for different types of rumors and information from different sources.Negative emotions such as fear and anxiety can promote their dissemination of rumors.This dissemination behavior is a psychological response, especially influenced by health self-efficacy.Given the findings, the discrimination ability of college students as a student group needs to be strengthened.Society and universities should strengthen educational guidance, provide accurate information, and the country should formulate complete and effective strategies for various online platforms to deal with various rumors.
